Langley Grammar School

Student Leadership Team

We would like to introduce you to our Student Leadership Team,  comprising our Head Boy, Head Girl and their deputies.

These senior students, who are now in Year 13, play a very important role in the life of the school - they are role models to the other students in both the Sixth Form and the lower years.  They lead and organise a range of activities across the school, including the School Council.

Read below what they have to say about themselves and their experience as a Langley Grammar School student.

Mathichudar Manivasagam - Head Girl

A curiosity towards any subject is greatly appreciated and nurtured at Langley Grammar School, which is something I believe is truly remarkable to experience. The support from teachers has been astounding, as teachers are understanding and well-equipped to aid you during learning. Finally, reflectiveness is what garners progress. Having the ability to reflect on work and utilising these learning points in future work is a key concept emphasised at Langley Grammar School.

Three words to describe my experience at Langley Grammar School would be:

Action-packed, Enlightening, and Unforgettable

Jack Ettridge - Head Boy

At LGS, students are encouraged to develop not only their academic capability but also their interpersonal skills. There is remarkable blend of different cultures and backgrounds all working towards a common goal of success. Furthermore, there is world-class teaching and support for everyone which plays a huge role in moulding students into capable young adults. In my case, activities like sports teams and drama performances helped to build my confidence and gain experience of responsibility positions, which will be invaluable in the real world.

Three words I would use to describe Langley Grammar School are

Inclusive, Valuable and Eye-opening

Avneet Jaswal - Deputy Head Girl

Langley Grammar School provides its students with a stimulating environment, allowing each individual to reach their full academic potential. Through the broad range of extracurricular activities on offer, the school encourages students to pursue their own interests beyond the curriculum. During my time at LGS, I have been exposed to numerous opportunities to expand my horizons, both academically and outside the classroom. Thanks to this, the school has given me chances to develop key personal qualities such as self-confidence and well-roundedness. The three words that best sum up my experience at the school are:

Rewarding, Empowering and Inspirational

Nihal Bedi - Deputy Head Boy

As a new joiner student, I can honestly say that right from the beginning, the school has made me feel part of its community. Excellent teachers, compassionate students and the school's outstanding facilities lead me to believe that this would be the school for me; indeed, I was correct. In addition, the opportunities that Langley Grammar school provides you with are countless, from joining one of its many clubs right through to finding work placements that will make you stand out from the crowd. The opportunities here are endless.

Welcoming, Motivating and Supportive

Sakshi Upadhyay - Deputy Head Girl

Langley Grammar School is a vibrant and inclusive community that inspires a thirst for knowledge and personal development. It has provided me with a stimulating atmosphere where I have been encouraged to explore my passions and develop critical thinking skills. Through various extracurricular activities and opportunities, Langley Grammar has honed my leadership abilities, fostered my resilience, and enhanced my problem-solving skills. Over the years, it has instilled in me curiosity, empathy and allowed me to reach my full potential.

Transformative, Empowering, and Enriching

Vinay Ladwa - Deputy Head Boy

Being a student at Langley Grammar School has helped me develop these qualities. I am incredibly grateful for the hardworking teachers that we have here; they are friendly, approachable, and always willing to help. There are countless opportunities that we are provided with that help us develop our academic profile, but perhaps more importantly, help shape who we are. I know I would not have grown to be the person I am now without the support and guidance our school provides. As a result, I understand where I want to be in the future.

                   Drive, Empathy and Growth
