Jigsaw24 iPads

This page is for parents who are currently leasing an iPad from Jigsaw24. The lease period is 2 years after the first payment.  If your lease has expired, or you provided your own iPads, or purchased from another supplier, please click on this link to go to the Parent Owned iPad page.

Students need to have access to a device for their lessons almost every day. If an iPad is faulty, students should seek advice from the ICT technicians. Many issues are resolvable that way. Sometimes more support is needed from manufacturers or providers of devices.  In this situation we will provide a temporary Pool iPad to take home so students can continue to work whilst their own iPad is being repaired or replaced.

Please note that if you purchased a device through Jigsaw24, there are slightly different arrangements in place for different year groups according to the insurance company that was used. Insurance products last for 2 years to mirror the length of the lease. The details are outlined in the documents below.

Step 1 - Identifying the Issue

If your iPad is physically damaged or stolen :

– This is an insurance issue, so make a Claim:

If your iPad has a manufacturing fault:

 - This is a warranty issue

  • For devices ordered from September 2018 onwards please claim on your insurance through the CPU Parent Portal

  • Please note that for theft, you will require a Crime Reference number.

  • The ICT Technicians will email the student once the claim has been processed, asking them to bring the device to the ICT office.

  • Please do not arrange for collection from your home or work.

  • Your son or daughter should take the iPad to the ICT Technicians who will do some basic troubleshooting.

  • If appropriate, the ICT Technicians will arrange for the faulty iPad to be sent to Jigsaw24 for repair (or replacement).

During the repair period we can arrange to temporarily loan an iPad.

Step 2 - Borrowing an iPad from School

  • Please fill in the Repair loan iPad Form at the link here, and return to the ICT technicians.  Copies are also available from the ICT office.

  • You will receive an email from the ICT Technicians when your repair loan iPad is ready for collection.

  • You may take this device home with you in order to complete schoolwork. It should remain in the case for the duration of its loan.

Step 3 - Returning the Temporary (Pool) iPad to LGS

  • ICT technicians will email you when your repaired/replaced iPad has been returned to school. They will configure the device in Mobile Device Management (MDM).

  • Pease return the repair loan iPad to the ICT Technicians. Sign out of your Apple ID, then wipe the device. The device should be in the same condition as it was borrowed.
