11+ admissions process - September 2021 admission
Year 7 entry
As an academy Langley Grammar School operates as its own admissions authority and collaborates in a 11+ testing consortium with Herschel, St Bernard’s Catholic and Upton Court Grammar Schools for entry to Year 7.
Admission to any of the four grammar schools in Slough is based on reaching an eligibility score in the consortium 11+ examination. Any child reaching a score of 111 on a standardised scale (this score represents approximately the top third of the 11+ examination outcome range) is deemed potentially suitable for a grammar school place and is eligible for consideration for admission. If you wish to apply for a place in year 7 at Langley Grammar School for September 2021 under the Pupil Premium criteria, you must complete the relevant form in addition to your common application form. The closing date for forms to be returned to Langley Grammar School was Thursday 10 December 2020.
11+ examination arrangements

The admission test for entry into Year 7 in September 2021 for applicants sitting the tests at any of the four Slough grammar schools was originally scheduled for Saturday 12 September, for candidates who were registered before the closing date, 12 midnight on Sunday 14 June 2020.
The Regional Schools Commissioner approved a variation to the school's admissions arrangements, and those of the other Slough grammar schools, to delay the test in line with the Department for Education's guidance published in July 2020.
Testing for schools in the Slough Consortium of Grammar schools took place in week beginning Monday 12 October 2020.
The admissions code states that schools have to take ‘all reasonable steps’ for parents to receive the results before completing the Common Application Form (CAF). We are sure you will all agree that this year is exceptional. By delaying the test until October, you should be aware that you will not get the results of the entrance test until after the deadline for CAF completion. You will therefore need to make your choices very carefully; if you wish your child to be considered for entry to any of the four Slough grammar schools should he or she be considered eligible on the basis of the standardised score, you will need to name the relevant school or schools on the CAF.
11+ examination results
The results of the 11+ entrance examination for the Slough Consortium of Grammar Schools are now available to view online.
You will need the userId (6 capital letters) which you were given when you registered your child, and the password you created when you completed the registration form.

Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document on the school website before contacting any of the grammar schools with queries, but please note that we will not be able to provide any further information other than is included in the FAQs.
Results are only available online and cannot be emailed individually or posted by Royal Mail. The website will close again at 9.00am on Friday 11 December 2020 so please ensure you have downloaded your results by that date.
All the entrance tests are scanned twice using different hardware and different staff and the results checked against each other. In the highly unlikely event that there is a variation between the two scans, it is manually investigated and, if necessary, resolved before the data is uploaded for standardisation. No changes have ever been made as a result of a remark due to the stringency of the process employed when the forms are scanned. The Slough Consortium of Grammar Schools will not undertake any test remarks until after the national offer date (Monday 1st March 2021). The cost of a re-mark would be £50 per paper. Requests for a remark should be made in writing to the school where your child sat the test.

In line with the Department for Education guidance (published July 2020) to delay selection tests because of the impact of coronavirus, the Regional Schools Commissioner approved an amendment to these arrangements to state that:
