Open events for 2023 entry to Year 7

In line with guidance from the Department for Education regarding the period of national mourning for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, our programme of Open Events will continue as planned.


We have organised a series of opportunities for parents interested in September 2023 entry to Year 7 to find out more about our school.

Virtual open event

To complement our face to face open events, we have set up a dedicated ‘Virtual Open Event’ website page here where you will be able to find information including:

  • Headteacher’s presentation
  • Information about Langley Grammar School’s admissions arrangements.
  • Welcome message from our Head Girl and Head Boy
  • Subject-specific videos


Open Evening – Tuesday 13th September 2022

Our Open Evening took place on Tuesday 13th September from 4.30pm to 7.30pm for families to come and view our facilities and meet our staff and students in person.

A recorded version of the Headteacher's presentation will be available online on our ‘Virtual Open Evening’ webpage from Wednesday 14th September.  You can also access be a recorded presentation describing the school's admissions policy in detail. 


Open Mornings - October 2022

We will also be running four open mornings during October, where parents can view the school in operation.  The format will be similar to the open evening, with a student-led tour of the school followed by an opportunity to talk to senior staff including the headteacher. 

Numbers will be capped for each session, and we will be limiting attendance to two parents or accompanying adults per child. 

Open mornings will be held on the following dates, and will start at 9.00am:

  • Thursday 6th October
  • Tuesday 11th October
  • Thursday 13th October
  • Tuesday 18th October

Places on Open Morning tours must be pre-booked.

Please note that there is no parking available on the school site. We request that local families to walk to the school, and those travelling by car to ensure that they park carefully and with consideration towards our neighbours.
