Langley Grammar School offers a very wide range of AS and A level subjects for Sixth Form students. We also offer an extensive programme of complementary studies, which includes a choice of enrichment courses, a fortnightly lecture series, physical education, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, participation in musical and drama productions as well as opportunities for service to the school and community. It is our aim to give our students as broad an experience as possible during their two years in the Sixth Form.
Our students’ A level performance over the past three years is also excellent in terms of 'added value'. This view is supported through an annual independent report published by 'Alps', a national system of A level results analysis which is recognised by Ofsted. The Sixth Form has been consistently awarded an ALPS Grade 3 or higher over several years, recognising that our Sixth Form is in the top 25% in the UK for value added. The great majority of our students progress to Higher Education, with a significant proportion successfully gaining places on competitive courses at Russell Group universities.
There is a very effective tutor system in the Sixth Form, we take great interest in your progress, providing advice and encouragement when needed. There are also numerous student leadership opportunities for students to both develop personally and to contribute to the life of the school.
Please refer to our dedicated page to find out more about how iPads are used at Langley Grammar School.
Our Sixth Form Open Evening will be an opportunity to hear from our outstanding students and staff to discover what separates Langley Grammar from the field in terms of academic success and student personal development.
This event is for current year 11 students at Langley Grammar and for students currently studying elsewhere who wish to join the school for Sixth Form.
The school will be open from 4.30pm to 7.00pm for families to meet students and staff and take a guided tour of our facilities.
In order for us to manage numbers and keep a steady flow of families through the evening you will need to book a time slot to arrive at the school. Please book here or by using the link below:
There will be a number of live Headteacher’s presentations in the main hall. These will last for approximately 20-25 minutes. The presentations will be held at 5pm, 5:45pm and 6:30pm (timings subject to change if required). Last entry will be at 6pm.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school on 5th November 2026.
