PA to the Headteacher - required for September 2021 or earlier if possible
 

Following the retirement of the previous postholder, Jane Milward, after almost 30 years service to the school, we are seeking an experienced personal assistant to provide an efficient, professional, responsive and confidential secretarial and administrative service to the Headteacher and other members of the Senior Leadership Team.

The role requires someone who pays meticulous attention to detail, has energy, enthusiasm, a calm manner and the ability to prioritise. S/he will be approachable, have strong people skills and a ‘can do’ attitude. PA experience at a senior management level would be preferable. The successful candidate will have a high level of literacy skills, preferably to A Level standard.  Experience of using software including MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel to a high standard is essential, and well-developed skills in other packages eg Publisher or Powerpoint would be an advantage. 

The PA to the Headteacher will be required to act on his/her own initiative, using careful judgement, tact and diplomacy. The role involves access to a wide range of confidential information about students and staff, and absolute discretion is essential.

Applications for part-time or full-time working will be considered. A full-time role would also include the provision of administrative support to other members of the Senior Leadership Team. The role will remain primarily term-time only, but an additional ten days of work during the school holidays will be expected, to be arranged by negotiation according to the operational needs of the school.

The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated administrative staff within a friendly and supportive school community. S/he will be based in an individual office next to the Headteacher in the staff area of the school’s new main block, due for completion this summer.

Premises Manager, full-time, 37 hours per week
Required for October 2021 or earlier if possible    

We are looking an experienced and proactive Premises Manager, to lead a team of two Assistant Premises Managers.  The school has a mixed estate comprising 7 buildings, 2 of which are new having been constructed in 2020 and 2021.  Please see the Candidate Information Pack for more details.
