We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join our supportive senior leadership team in our outstanding selective school.

We welcome applications from experienced middle leaders who can demonstrate impact at whole-school level, as well as current senior leaders looking to extend their experience in a new professional context. Whatever the applicant’s current role, experience in safeguarding and pastoral leadership would be advantageous. Specific responsibilities will be finalised after appointment, taking into account the strengths and experience of the successful candidate and other members of the senior leadership team.

Langley Grammar School is a co-educational 11–18 selective school with academy status, located within easy reach of Langley station and the M4. We have approximately 1,270 students, including over 360 in the Sixth Form. The school is heavily oversubscribed and draws students from a wide geographical area and a diverse range of backgrounds. Alongside promoting excellent academic outcomes, our school ethos supports students to become confident, well-rounded, independent, creative, responsible and caring. Our students are capable, hardworking and a delight to teach. We are a National Teaching School with a record of nationally recognised innovative practice and an Apple Distinguished School, in recognition of our leading-edge use of technology for learning. In recent years, major building programmes have included the construction of excellent sports facilities, a distinctive Sixth Form Centre, and new classrooms, workshops, laboratories, ICT suites and communal areas. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in 2021 and was graded Outstanding in all categories.
