District Athletics Success

Our male and female athletics teams from years 7-10 competed in the Slough District Athletics competition on Friday 24th May.  A total of 13 secondary schools from Slough took part in the event at Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton.

The sun was out and our athletes enjoyed a very successful day. Students in years 7 – 10 had been perfecting their techniques across a whole range of disciplines in their PE and Games lessons in the first half of the Spring term, as well as in the lunchtime and after school Athletics Clubs run by the PE department.

The competition amongst schools in Slough is greater than ever now, with so many more schools in the local area. 7 out of the 8 teams we took to participate in the event finished amongst the top 3 schools in their respective competitions, which is a phenomenal achievement.

Huge congratulations to the Year 7 Girls, Year 8 Boys and Year 9 Boys teams for being crowned Slough District Athletics champions.
