Admissions consultation - for entry in September 2025

The School Admissions Code requires schools to consult on their admissions arrangements every seven years, or whenever changes to the admissions criteria are proposed. 

The admissions arrangements for Langley Grammar School have been essentially unchanged for a number of years.  It is therefore appropriate to run a consultation in order to fulfil the requirements of the Admissions Code to do so at least every seven years. 

As an academy, Langley Grammar School is its own admissions authority and is required to consult with:

  • parents of children between the ages of two and eighteen;
  • other persons in the relevant area who in the opinion of the admission authority have an interest in the proposed admissions;
  • all other admission authorities within the relevant area;
  • the local authority

The school ran a period of consultation in line with the requirements of the School Admissions Code.  The consultation period ran until 31st January 2024. Any person or organisation wishing to comment on the draft arrangements was requested to email their comments to the school using the email address school@lgs.slough.sch.uk with the subject line LGS admissions 2025 - consultation response by the above date.

Comments on the draft admissions arrangements will be considered before finalisation by the Governing Board in February 2024.
