Langley Grammar School

Welcome to Year 7 – September 2021

We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to Langley Grammar School.

Arrangements for the start of term

Please note the following updated information.  Full details have been sent by email to parents on Monday 19 July 2021.

Year 7 students will now start school on Friday 3rd September.  This will be a full school day and will be focused on ensuring students are familiar with the school.

Please continue to refer to the school website for any changes to previously published information.

Parents meeting and induction day

Owing to the continuing coronavirus restrictions, an online briefing and question and answer session was held on Tuesday 29 June instead of the previously advised onsite meeting.  FAQs from this meeting, together with the answers, can be found at the end of this page. The presentation slides can be accessed below:

The planned in-school induction day for children on Tuesday 6 July will not be taking place by agreement across the Slough secondary schools.  Parents and students will be emailed with induction information which will also be added to this page.

Student handbook

The handbook, with contributions from our current students, has been emailed to parents and can also be found at the end of this page.  Students, please read this information carefully and encourage your parents to also have a look.

The next video has been produced by Mrs Close, Year 7 Phase Leader, as a guided tour of the site and buildings as they are now. This will give new students a really good idea of what to expect when they arrive in September. There is also a map at the end of the page which students may like to print and bring with them for the first few days.
