Subject specialism
We offer both French and German from Years 7 to 13. The ability of our new Subject Leader to teach either French or German to A Level is essential and the ability to teach the other language to at least Key Stage 3 is advantageous. The Subject Leader is supported by an Assistant Subject Leader in the leadership of the department. Our planned staffing structure ensures that the two colleagues with leadership responsibilities comprise one specialist in French and one in German. Our current Assistant Subject Leader is a German specialist, and therefore external applicants should have the ability to teach French to A Level.
