2026 examination results
A Level
Students achieved excellent A Level outcomes in 2026. More than 53% of A-Level entries achieved grades A* or A and 82% of entries achieved grades A*, A or B, with an overall pass rate of 99.8%. These impressive results have helped students secure places at leading universities and degree-level apprenticeships. Eighteen students gained three or more A* grades, which is a fantastic achievement. Ten students secured places at Oxbridge (the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge).
GCSE
Over 77% of GCSE entries were awarded grades 7-9, 54% awarded grades 9-8, and the average grade achieved was 7.5. The overall pass rate at grade 4 or above was 99.8%, the highest achieved by the school since the introduction of the 9–1 grading system. There were also some outstanding individual performances, with thirteen students achieving at least nine grade 9s.
2025 examination results
A Level
Students achieved excellent A-level results in 2025, with 60% of entries awarded A* or A grades and 85% awarded A*–B. These outcomes enabled students to progress to leading universities, highly competitive courses and degree-level apprenticeship programmes. Twenty-six students secured places to study medicine, while six took up places at Oxford or Cambridge.
GCSE
GCSE results were similarly impressive, with 77% of all entries being grade 9-7 (the three highest grades) with 53% of entries at grade 9 or 8.
2024 examination results
A Level
Students achieved very impressive A-level results in 2024, with 59% of entries awarded A* or A grades and 85% awarded A*–B. These outcomes enabled students to progress to leading universities, highly competitive courses and degree-level apprenticeship programmes.
GCSE
GCSE results were excellent, with 75% of all entries being grade 9-7 (the three highest grades) with 52% of entries at grade 9 or 8.
Sunday Times 'Parent Power' guide
The Sunday Times survey is widely acknowledged as an authoritative survey of the country’s highest-achieving schools. It links to school websites and Ofsted inspection reports, while also drawing on exam results for its league tables.
The ranking in these annual tables has always been based on actual grades achieved. The methodology takes into account both GCSE and A Level outcomes, giving double the weighting to A Levels. Taking both levels of qualification into account gives a much broader indication of the overall quality of education than individual performance measures on their own.
In the 2025 guide Langley Grammar was ranked 31st in the national table and 8th in the South-East region. In 2026, the school was ranked 29th nationally, 9th in the South-East and 1st in Slough.
