    • Robotics Club Success

      Students from the Years 7-9 Robotics Club took part in the First Lego League regional finals at the Winchester Science Centre on 14 December and successfully secured a place in the national finals.

    • Success for LGS students in Oxford University's computing competition

      A Sixth Form student  from Langley Grammar School has successfully earned a place in the second round of  Oxford University's annual Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge. The competition, organised in school by the ICT & Computing department is aimed at raising awareness of Computer Science in a fun rewarding way.

      On Friday 15th December, years 7-9 participated in house music. The competition was of a high standard and enjoyed by staff and students alike. The audience were treated to a eclectic mix of wonderful performances from our talented students in the lower school.

      On Wednesday 13th December 2017, Year 7 went to a Pantomime trip at the Wycombe Swan Theatre in High Wycombe. This being our first trip at LGS, everyone buzzed with excitement on the day.

    • Kids' Lit Quiz

      On Thursday, 30 November, four students from years 7 and 8 went to the Oxfordshire/ Berkshire regional heat of the Kids’ Literature Quiz 2017. They were selected out of all year 7 and 8 students due to their knowledge of books and really enjoyed participating in this world renowned annual literature event.

      On Wednesday 15th November, students in Year 8 were privileged to have a visit from trainers from Talk the Talk, an educational charity who deliver oracy workshops to students all over the country. Everyone involved had an enjoyable time and were able to build their confidence and develop their skills in public speaking.
