On the 22nd March, we headed to Brecon Beacons in South Wales for our silver DofE final expedition. The journey there was pretty comfortable but the challenge started when we got there at 8:30pm. It was so dark that putting up our tents and getting ourselves warm was very hard. The temperature dropped during the night making it almost impossible to fall asleep. On Tuesday 28 March, 14 LGS students in Year 12 embarked on their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Practice Expedition in Wales. It was to be a challenge of both physical and mental endurance and a wonderful experience for everyone involved.

During February half term, the A Level German students completed five days of work experience in Germany. Below the Year 12 German students explain more.
On the weekend of the 3 March, a group of enthusiastic girls set off on a PGL Netball Weekend, accompanied by Miss Rae, Miss Thompson and Mrs Close. We had entered three teams to represent Langley Grammar School, a Year 11 team, a Year 10 team and a Year 8 team, and we were all keen to showcase our talent. On Saturday 18 March, Mr Wolters took a group of students to Reading Crown Court to take part in a Mock Trial Competition. Students were split into two teams, defence and prosecution, and set the challenge of arguing their case, using evidence of a fictious burglary. Megha Basu (8S) explains more below.
Students in Year 7 recently returned from their visit to the Kingswood activity centre in Kent. The residential was a huge success: it was educational, fun and enabled students to bond even more closely together as a year group.
