31^st March. 11am. 25 students. 50 pieces of luggage. A congregation of Gold DofE students gathered at the Sports Centre on a misty Sunday morning, ready for a 6-hour journey to a picturesque corner of North Wales – a region not too far from the outstanding Snowdonia National Park. Tanmay in Year 12 talks us through the expedition. 

During the spring term the computing department had been running an E-Sports knockout tournament, where student played Overwatch in 3 v 3 heats. Mrs Jenkins explains more below. 

All students in year 8 recently enjoyed a fantastic opportunity to put their programming skills to the test at our recent 'Coding Days'.

All of our year 11 students recently had the opportunty to visit a number of local companies such as VISA and O2 Telefonica to get an insight into the world of work.

On Thursday 15^th March 2019, Year 10 enjoyed a drama-themed English Focus Day when a theatre company visited the school. The professional actors performed Romeo and Juliet, An Inspector Calls and A Christmas Carol, the three studied text for English Literature.   

On the 14^th March, our year 12 students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of the United Nations, learning more about the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the issues affecting a range of developing countries around the world.
