On Wednesday 24th March, a few students from each year had the opportunity to showcase their computing and iPad skills to delegates from the Ministry of Education in Singapore. The main purpose of their visit was to understand how computing is taught in UK secondary schools.
On Wednesday 13th March, a group of students from 8R visited Ryvers Primary School to read a handmade book produced as part of their Phase project.

31st March. 11am. 25 students. 50 pieces of luggage. A congregation of Gold DofE students gathered at the Sports Centre on a misty Sunday morning, ready for a 6-hour journey to a picturesque corner of North Wales – a region not too far from the outstanding Snowdonia National Park. Students from Langley Grammar recently attended a brass workshop that culminated in a spectacular concert at Eton College.
During the spring term the computing department had been running an E-Sports knockout tournament, where student played Overwatch in 3 v 3 heats. Mrs Jenkins explains more below.
Students in Year 7 recently returned from their three day residential visit to Kingswood Activity Centre in Kent. They had an amazing time, enjoying new experience and bonding as a year group.
All students in year 8 recently enjoyed a fantastic opportunity to put their programming skills to the test at our recent 'Coding Days'.
Langley Grammar School's netball teams recently returned from a great visit to the PGL Activity Centre in Liddington. Over the weekend, each team enjoyed three main activities; ‘Queue and Do’, Evening entertainment, and of course, netball!
All of our year 11 students recently had the opportunty to visit a number of local companies such as VISA and O2 Telefonica to get an insight into the world of work.
The 6th Form visit to Krakov and Auschwitz in March of this year, managed to produce a range of thoughts and feelings within our group during our short stay in Poland.
