On Tuesday 30th October, Year 8 visited the London Dungeons to celebrate the Halloween Screamfest! The students have been studying gothic fiction in their English lessons and so the venue offered plenty of inspiration on the subject.
On Friday 9th November, LGS was lucky enough to be visited by British Conservative parliamentarian and member of the House of Lords, Baroness Emma Pidding.
The whole of year 9 recently benefited from the 'restart a heart' workshop: a whole day's first aid training of how to identify the signs of a heart attack and apply the basics of CPR.
On Thursday 11th October, four students from the library’s Book Club visited the launch of the Berkshire Book Award held in LVS Ascot School.
On Friday 12th October the band LZ7 came to the school to perform. It was a really enjoyable event with great music and messages to motivate us.
On the 28th September 2018, the geography GCSE students at Langley Grammar School embarked on a journey to the New Forest National Park and the adjacent coastline to look at the rural to urban continuum and coastal process and management.
On the 20th September 2018, GCSE History students in year 11 had the fantastic opportunity to go to the National Archives in Kew for a session organised by Mr Wolters about Whitechapel and Jack The Ripper in the late 19th century.
On Friday 28th September 2018, Year 9 students were privileged to have an engineer from Aston Martin come to school learn more about the job opportunities we have in relation to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

On the 13th September 2018, we had the privilege of attending a full-day workshop, hosted by Rich Cottell, a passionate, talented musician, and a great teacher. He has over 29,000 subscribers on Youtube, and has many popular songs such as Union, More than just a Geek and many others.
A group of Year 13 students recently returned from their very successful DofE Gold expedition to north Wales.
On 1st July 2018, members of Langley Grammar School’s very own Orchestra walked into the Royal Albert Hall as performers rather than spectators to perform Dvorak’s Slavonic Dance No. 1 as part of a 200-strong orchestra of students from Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
