A fabulous range of art and design work was on display at the Art Exhibition this week.
On Friday 22nd July, 26 of our students went to the Women in Engineering conference organised by a number of construction companies (Mitie, Ferrovial and others) based at Heathrow Airport.
On Tuesday 19th June, students in year 7 visited Warwick Castle to learn about Middle Ages and find out how castles changed over time.
On Wednesday 13th June, Year 7 went to the Chiltern Hills to study the impact of the High Speed 2 Line soon to be built over the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty..
On Wednesday 12th June, Year 8 students of Langley Grammar School were taken to see beautiful art work at the National Portrait Gallery and the National Art Gallery in London.
On Tuesday 5th June students in Year 12 enjoyed their "Passport for Life Day". The day was organised to give students the opportunity to focus on their futures, rather than the stress of the upcoming examinations period. The day was extremely useful for all of us.
On the morning of Friday 19th May, the year 10 geographers left Langley to travel to the beautiful village of Slapton, Devon to undertake their GCSE geography fieldwork.
On Tuesday 22nd May, students in the school choir, guitar club, jazz band and a few solo performers visited St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School to play along with other schools in the annual “Friendship in Music” concert.
On 17 May , Some lucky Year 8 students participated in a film making workshop run by Cut Films, an award winning anti-tobacco youth charity.
On Tuesday 15th May, Year 7 got the opportunity to watch a German play, performed by a German drama group called “Onatti”. The aim of the play was to help us increase our vocabulary and of course have fun whilst we learn.
Following our year 7 Focus Day, ‘Race for the Line’; four teams of students qualified to take part in the Regional Final where they raced their rocket cars against students from other schools. The event took place in at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire in a huge aircraft hangar.
On April 24th economic students from year 13 attended the ‘Economics A Level Grade booster workshop 2018’ held at the Vue cinema, Westfields.
