    Girls' uniform

    Uniform items in bold type are only available for purchase new from the official supplier, Hawkinsport. Items marked with * are available from Hawkinsport but may also be purchased from other retailers. 

    'High street' alternatives to skirts and trousers are acceptable as long as they are a close match to the regulation items.  However, substitutes for jackets are not acceptable.  Please ensure that all uniform and PE kit is correctly named – initials are not sufficient.

    Girls’ standard school uniform

    Jacket

    Regulation bottle green tailored jacket.

    Brooch

    Enamel school brooch, to be worn on the lapel of the jacket.

    Skirt  * 

    Regulation style, charcoal or dark grey with twin-double pleats front and back.  Modest length worn close to the knee; a regulation ankle-length long skirt is also available.

    ‘High street’ alternatives are acceptable provided they closely match the colour and style of the regulation skirt. Skirts made from non-woven stretch material, or fashion skirts with slits are not allowed.

    Trousers *

    Charcoal or dark grey tailored in traditional school style

    ‘High street’ alternatives are acceptable provided they closely match the colour and style of the trouser from the official supplier. Skinny fitting styles or trousers made from a non-woven stretch material are not allowed. If worn, belts should be plain black with no designer branding.

    Shirt/blouse *  

    Plain white long, short or three-quarter sleeved, with revere collar.  Note that shirts designed to be worn with ties are not acceptable.

    Jumper

    Grey, V-necked, fine knit with long sleeves (optional)

    Socks/Tights

    Plain white short (above ankle) or knee-length socks to be worn with skirts.

    Plain black or dark grey socks (above ankle) to be worn with trousers.

    Plain neutral-coloured or black tights may be worn with skirts or trousers. 

    Shoes   

    Black shoes with low heels, suited to everyday wear through the year. Boots, stilettos, pointed heels, trainers or canvas shoes are not acceptable. 

     

    Girls’ Physical Education kit

    White polo shirt with school crest

    Plain black shorts *

    Plain white, long (knee-length) sports socks*

    Plain white standard-length sports socks*

    Training shoes with non-marking soles – indoor use only

    Training shoes/Astroturf trainers – outdoor use only

    Shin pads

    Mouthguard* (strongly recommended for hockey and rugby lessons)

    Tracksuit jacket (mid layer) with school crest (optional item)

    Plain black tracksuit trousers or sports leggings* (optional items – high street alternatives must be skinny fit, plain or with a small discreet logo)

    Base layer – plain black or plain white (optional item)

    Plain beanie (outdoor optional item for autumn/spring terms, ideally black in colour)

    Plain cap (outdoor optional item for summer term)

     

    Please note, girls are permitted to wear ‘legacy’ PE kit indefinitely– i.e. they may continue to wear the following items that until June 2026 formed part of the school’s PE kit:

    Games skort, black and emerald green

    Beanie with school crest

    Cap with school crest
