We are seeking an enthusiastic, practical and experienced Premises Manager to oversee the effective management, maintenance, security and statutory compliance of our school site, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will manage two members of staff and will have premises or facilities management experience, a good understanding of health and safety, and a proactive, hands-on approach. Excellent organisational and communication skills, together with the ability to prioritise competing demands and respond calmly to unexpected situations, are essential. This is a full-time, all-year-round position requiring some flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work.
Langley Grammar School is a co-educational 11–18 selective academy, conveniently located close to Langley station and the M4. With approximately 1,297 students, including over 388 in the Sixth Form, the school is heavily oversubscribed and draws students from a wide geographical area and diverse backgrounds. Alongside our strong academic tradition, we are committed to developing confident, well-rounded, independent, creative, responsible and caring individuals. Our students are capable, motivated and a genuine pleasure to teach. We are proud to be a National Teaching School with a track record of nationally recognised, innovative practice, and an Apple Distinguished School, reflecting our pioneering use of technology to enhance learning. In recent years, significant investment has led to outstanding new facilities, including sports provision, a dedicated Sixth Form Centre, and modern classrooms, workshops, laboratories, ICT suites and communal spaces. The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties, including processing invoices and payments, managing purchase orders, reconciling accounts, monitoring budgets and responding to financial queries. They will have relevant finance experience, excellent numeracy and IT skills, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and handle confidential information appropriately is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive, professional and flexible approach and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
